It lists various parties who can be held liable in a premises liability claim, such as landlords, homeowners, business owners, retail merchants, stadium owners, and restaurant owners. Premises liability claims are most often filed for incidents like slips and falls, dog bites, negligent security, defective stairways, and issues with swimming pools, with slip and fall accidents making up 30 percent of all premises liability injuries.
